Porsche Showroom Blog

Despite, no yet, being an approved repairer for Porsche, we were very excited for the, long anticipated arrival of the new Porsche Showroom on Hall Road in Norwich. We have spent years working on these vehicles and have a deep rooted passion for the brand, with two of our team actually owning porches themselves. We see this as an opportunity to work with the Porsche Centre and offer our expertise should they require them.

We are in currently in contact with centre to discuss a deal with our new company TBC detailing however this is as far we can currently go with this….

The showroom had been in development for over two years but in January 2021, despite the current covid epidemic, the 27,200 sqft Porsche centre opened its doors. This was exciting news for Porsche fanatics in Norfolk are, as prior to this, the closest showroom was in Cambridge.

With the introduction of this new Porsche Centre, 25 new Jobs were created, which was great news for the local economy, especially in these tough times.

The centre promises to be so much more than just a selling point for new and approved pre-owned cars. It will also have an eight-bay workshop area, two ‘direct dialogue’ bays, for on-the-spot diagnosis of problems as well as a cafe bar and hospitality suite.

Mr Russ Dacre, the son of Norwich businessman and property owner Graham Dacre said, according to the EDP, “It will be more than a point of sale…it will be a window into the world of the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer, a company which has fascinated car enthusiasts for 72 years since 1948.”

The new centre is the brainchild of Graham Dacre, who made his fortune in cars. It will however be run by Russ Darce, who has already been in charge of a Porsche centre in Kent. He wanted to bring this concept to Norwich, which is a great idea due to a lack of Porsche facilities in this region.

Due to the recent surge in the purchase of electric and hybrid vehicles Porsche have developed some of their own exceptional versions, such as the Taycan, to keep inline with these market forces. This does mean that charging points will be available for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles at the centre.
